Last night I figure out that I’m 10 weeks away from a Half Marathon. This Half Marathon to be exact…

I was supposed to run this with Becky, but they’re already SOLD OUT?! How the crap did that happen? Oh wait. It’s because it’s only 10 WEEKS until the race and you just figured that out. Come on, Yang. Get with it!

So yeah, that right there would be the reason I got my lazy ass off the couch and on the road this morning. I actually laid out my entire training plan (or what’s left of it) last night and I’m sticking to it. I can’t afford to NOT do this right. I effed up my training before the Baltimore Half and seriously paid for it. Hello matching blisters on my big toes. (I won’t make that mistake again.) Not to mention I’m still considering the Ocean City 1/2 the end of April. I’m interested to see what kind of runner I could be if I really tried.

Anyway, here are this morning’s results. It’s good to know my pace doesn’t change much even when I hit a lazy patch.

I ran down a main street in my neighborhood. I almost NEVER run on main roads this big and busy. It freaks me out. I did it only because it was early, and not terribly busy. And 4 miles is a full out and back to Dunkin Donuts. Not that I ever stop, but it was a good landmark to keep in my head… coffee.coffee.coffee. Which is weird because now that I’m back I’m drinking tea (wtf). Not just any tea though, really delicious Teavana Ayurdvic White Chai & Samurai Chai Mate tea from my friend Sarah.

So that’s my day (so far). I think Dan and I are going to MAGFest at Nationl Harbor, DC. Although he’s not feeling well right now so we’ll see. MAGFest today; work, dog park and a run <-see I’m being good tomorrow.

I’m going to drink my tea now ^_^

Yay weekend!
